OTTER TAIL COUNTY — Voters in Otter Tail County will help decide who will be the candidates in this year's general election for the state of Minnesota. In Otter Tail County, there was only one contested seat — State Representative District 9B, currently held by incumbent Rep. Tom Murphy (R). Murphy and his wife, Betty (who was previously an Otter Tail County Commissioner), moved to Otter Tail County to start a dairy supply sales business. They have lived at their same rural residence in Maine Township since coming to the area and enjoy all the amenities Otter Tail County has to offer. District 9B covers parts of Otter Tail and Douglas counties.
