Rescue and relief operations are underway, with multiple agencies engaged to locate and evacuate those trapped beneath the debris. According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and the Mumbai Fire Brigade, the incident occurred at around 3:48 a.m. at Gaushiya Chawl in Chirag Nagar, Ghatkopar. Speaking to reporters, Shinde said, “Rescue operations are underway, with emergency response teams and local authorities continuing their efforts at the site. Rescue operations are being carried out jointly by personnel from the Mumbai Fire Brigade, Mumbai Police, and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).
