Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan has won the Minnesota Democratic Senate Primary and will go on to compete against Republican Primary winner Michele Tafoya in November. RELATED:Flanagan previously served in the Minnesota House of Representatives for District 46A from 2015 through 2019. Since then, she’s been Lieutenant Governor alongside Governor Tim Walz. Smith previously served as chief of staff for Governor Mark Dayton and Minneapolis mayor R. T. Ryback. She was also lieutenant governor from 2015 to 2018.
