Victoria's Health Complaints Commissioner on Tuesday issued a public warning about Maher (Michael) Aboudargham following an investigation launched last week. The unregistered health practitioner offered unqualified treatment when he unlawfully supplied unapproved medications to treat a significant chronic illness in Melbourne, the commissioner alleged. An interim prohibition order remains in place, banning him from providing any health services in Victoria for at least 12 weeks. Victoria Police charged the pair in July with trafficking steroids after receiving reports they claimed to be posing as medical practitioners in the Brighton East area. The 32-year-old woman and 39-year-old man were arrested and charged on July 24 at a unit in Brighton East and were released on bail.
