ST. PAUL — Early and unofficial vote totals show Scott Jensen and Zack Filipovich will appear on Minnesotans’ November ballot for state auditor after they each won their party’s primary election on Tuesday, Aug. 11.
Filipovich was the only DFL candidate on the ballot on Tuesday.
A former member of the Duluth City Council, Filipovich received the DFL’s endorsement in May.
The winner between Jensen and Filipovich will replace outgoing auditor Julie Blaha.
In addition, the state auditor serves on the State Executive Council, the State Board of Investment, the Land Exchange Board and the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency, among other duties.
