"We enforce national police checks and Working With Children checks on adult members and leaders; mandatory child safeguarding training must be completed by all adult members who have interaction with youth members; we educate our youth members on acceptable behaviour and how to report an incident or matter; and we encourage victims of child abuse to access the federal government's National Redress Scheme," she said.
