CARACAS (Reuters) : Venezuela’s government said on Tuesday ​it has agreed with Israel to establish a coordination mechanism to enable ‌consular services, ‌a ​dramatic ‌shift ⁠in ​Venezuela’s geopolitical alignment ⁠after it broke relations with Israel in 2009. Venezuela, which ⁠ended relations 17 ‌years ‌ago ​over ‌Israeli attacks in ‌the Gaza Strip, was historically allied with ‌Iran but its government has become ⁠more ⁠aligned with Washington since the US captured President Nicolas Maduro in January.
