“The women of South Sudan are disappointed and frustrated by the slow pace at which the peace agreement, signed last August by warring parties, is being implemented,” Betty Ben the Cordinator of the group told Radio Bakhita. “The situation in South Sudan is getting worse and opposing parties to the agreement are not doing enough to implement the deal,” added Betty Ben. The women group is also seeking ways to make sure that South Sudan women are conversant with the details of the Peace Accord, she added. The international community has accused both South Sudan government under President Kiir, and Rebel leader Machar of procrastination in implementing the peace accord despite assurance by both parties. The warring parties insist they are committed to the peace deal in spite of not adhering to strict deadlines and the terms of the accord.
