Eight days after the Boston Red Sox swung a shocking and polarizing blockbuster trade with the Baltimore Orioles for Adley Rutschman, Rutschman made his Red Sox debut on Tuesday in Toronto. Rutschman, who hadn't played since July 18, joined a slumping Boston squad that had lost three straight prior to Tuesday. The Red Sox offense continued to struggle, however, managing just three runs on seven hits. The Red Sox have scored three runs or fewer in all four games, suffering their longest losing streak since mid-June. The Red Sox need their bats to wake up, however, and Rutschman will try to help them with that.
