The 2026 Forum Foreign Ministers Meeting recognised the need for a more cohesive regional security architecture supported by agile and responsive mechanisms.
The authors say strengthening traditional relationship structures and conflict resolution practices should be part of regional climate security priorities.
They recommend that the agenda be coordinated by the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat in partnership with SPREP, the Pacific Community (SPC) and UNDP.
