Add us to your Google preferred sourcesReno Police are asking for the public's help finding a missing and endangered elderly man who went to check on a property threatened by the Bug Fire and never came back. 87-year-old Dewey Smith is a white man described as being six feet two inches tall and 200 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes, possibly wearing a navy-blue shirt, dark grey pants, and a white fishing hat. He was last seen on Tuesday morning after leaving his Reno address to check on his property on Carlsbad Road in the Red Rock area. Smith and his family had evacuated to the Reno home due to the Bug Fire. Anyone with information is asked to call the Reno Police Department's non-emergency line at (775) 334-2677.
