Tafoya handily won the race, with her claiming 52.4% of the vote at the time of the Associated Press's 9:50 p.m. race call. Her nearest opponent was Adam Schwarze, who took 23.3% of the vote. Her opponent was not clear as of press time, with Rep. Angie Craig, D-Minn., and Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan, D-Minn., locked in a close contest for the party nomination.
