Sydney Roosters veteran halfback Daly Cherry-Evans is set to continue his rugby league career, but not with the same club. It had been widely believed Cherry-Evans would finish his career at Bondi Junction after moving from the Manly Sea Eagles at the end of 2025, with the only question being whether he would retire this year or next. "Mate, I've honestly been taking it week by week,” Cherry-Evans told ABC Radio last week. The club has already signed Reuben Garrick for 2027 from the Manly Sea Eagles, and it's believed Murray Taulagi will also join from the North Queensland Cowboys. No timeline has been set for a decision from Cherry-Evans, with Hull desperate to secure his services for one final season in the sport.
