A tropical depression is likely to form in the central Atlantic within the next few days as a tropical wave moves west toward the Caribbean, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC).
A second system farther north could briefly become a tropical depression or storm.
Environmental conditions are expected to support further development over the next few days as AL92 moves west to west-northwest across the central tropical Atlantic.
The NHC gives the system a 60 percent chance of becoming a tropical depression or storm within 48 hours and an 80 percent chance over the next seven days.
The system, designated AL93, could briefly become a tropical depression or storm as it moves east at about 20 mph.
