ST PAUL, MINN. – Former television sportscaster Michele Tafoya has advanced to the November general election in the race for United States Senate on the Republican ticket, according to Fox News. As of 8:50 p.m., Tafoya received more than 33,000 votes – or 50 percent of the vote. Trailing Tafoya in the Republican race is endorsee Adam Schwarze, who has more than 14,600 votes – or 22 percent of the vote. Tafoya will take on the Democratic-Farmer-Labor candidate in November.
