Pakistan assembled 13.1 million mobile devices during January-June 2026, with Chinese brands occupying several leading positions as local handset production continues to expand toward smartphones and 5G devices Gwadar Pro reported quoting Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) data. During this period, Pakistan imported only 2.55 million mobile phones, highlighting the growing role of local production in meeting domestic demand. The chart also shows ONKA at 0.70 million, X Mobile at 0.52 million, Oppo at 0.48 million and QMobile at 0.48 million. Of the 13.1 million devices assembled in the first half of 2026, 5.78 million were smartphones, while 7.32 million were 2G handsets. Their presence among the leading producers has helped make locally assembled smartphones an increasingly important part of Pakistan’s mobile market.
