Pakistan, Türkiye to strengthen technical cooperation in health sector

Federal Minister for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Mustafa Kamal received a high-level technical delegation from Türkiye to discuss avenues for further strengthening technical cooperation between Pakistan and Türkiye in the health sector.
Welcoming the Turkish delegation, Federal Minister Mustafa Kamal said that the brotherly relations between Pakistan and Türkiye are longstanding and based on strong foundations.
He emphasized that Pakistan attaches special importance to expanding cooperation with Türkiye in the health sector.
He said Pakistan has, for the first time, formulated a National Vaccine Policy as part of its efforts to strengthen the country’s vaccine security and reduce dependence on imports.
The Federal Minister also highlighted the need for a comprehensive universal medical record system in Pakistan.
