St. James Parish correctional deputy from Gramercy arrested for alleged sexual conduct with inmateGRAMERCY — A St. James Parish Sheriff's Office correctional deputy has been arrested after an investigation found sexual communication between her and an inmate. Amaiya Fobb, a 20-year-old from Gramercy, faces charges of malfeasance in office and sexual conduct with a person in an institution, according to the St. James Parish Sheriff's Office. According to authorities, deputies searched the St. James Parish Correctional Center last week and found that an inmate had used a TV to access a website. The website displayed sexual communication between Fobb and the inmate. "The actions of Amaiya Fobb do not define the others who wear our uniform," said Sheriff Claude J. Louis Jr. "Fobb began her employment with the St. James Parish Sheriff's Office on Jan. 12.
