Joceyln Fender was a double shy of the cycle in the Coffee Trojans’ 8-0, run-rule shortened win over the visiting Ware County Gators Tuesday night at Faircloth Field in Douglas. The Lady Trojans scored two in the first, four in the third, and two in the fourth while keeping the Gators off the board. Ella Edge was 3-3 with three runs while Karlee Douglas and Maggie Brown had two hits each. The Lady Trojans are now 1-2 on the season. They have a week off before the region schedule begins with a trip up I-75 to face the Northside-Warner Robins Eagles in Warner Robins.
