TEHRAN: Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi said Iran had proved itself to be a “tough and invincible power” during the recent war with the US and Israel, claiming that Tehran ultimately forced its opponents to seek negotiations.
Speaking at a meeting on diplomacy and health at Iran’s Ministry of Health, Araghchi praised the country’s armed forces and civilians for their resistance during the conflict.
He said Iran had surprised the world by resisting the US, Israel and their allies, adding that officials from other countries had described Iran’s performance as a “miracle.”
On diplomacy, Araghchi said Iran had demonstrated its ability to defend its rights and claimed that the country had “won the war” as well as diplomacy, morality, honour and dignity.
Trump also said Iran had sought reparations for damage caused by US actions, but warned that Washington would seek compensation from Tehran for damages allegedly caused by Iran over several decades.
