The Blue Jays announced that right-hander Jameson Taillon has been placed on the 15-day injured list with right forearm tendinitis. His velocity dipped towards the end of that outing and the Jays later announced he departed with forearm discomfort. Perhaps Woods Richardson will get a chance to hold a rotation spot until one of Taillon, Arrighetti or Yesavage return. They could have been brought back up under the 15-day minimum as the corresponding move for Taillon but the Jays opted for Lee instead. His struggles this year led to him being put on waivers, claimed by the Jays and later outrighted.
