— Many arrests and traffic stops are made during the Sturgis rally, but one thing in particular has increased drastically since last year.
Chief of Police with the Sturgis Police Department Geody VanDewater says underage consumption or possession is up 275%, with 11 instances this year compared to four at this point last year.
VanDewater believes a majority of the underage alcohol offenses are from 18 to 20 year olds.
