Four crew members, three Pakistani nationals and one Indonesian, were killed in the initial attack. Yemen’s coastguard said another missile was later fired at rescuers who were trying to evacuate crew members from the burning vessel, causing further casualties. The Houthis claimed responsibility for the strike, saying the vessel was carrying military equipment for Saudi Arabia.
