NAIROBI, MAY 29, 2015 (CISA) – “Passion and social values such as honesty competence commitment and prayer are the ingredients Africa needs to grow economically socially and spiritually,” Prof Judi Wakhungu, Cabinet Secretary, Environment, Water and Natural Resources has said. Prof Wakhungu was speaking today at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) during the university’s 31st graduation ceremony where she was the chief guest. “I urge you to cherish and use the social values passed to you effectively… not to destroy but to build and transform our communities and by doing so you will transform the world as a whole,” she said. “It is not surprising that such youths are easily lured to participate in crime, the Garissa Massacre is one of such case in mind. “Go forth and apply yourself to the task of transforming yourselves, your neighbour and the entire continent of Africa.”
