Governor Diri, represented by his deputy, Dr Peter Akpe, commended Azikel Group President, Dr Azibapu Eruani, for the progress recorded on the project, particularly the arrival of the CDU.
He said the refinery aligns with his administration’s prosperity agenda, which places industrialisation and an enabling business environment among its priorities.
Diri said the ongoing road projects were aimed at improving connectivity and access to industrial investments, including the refinery.
Mrs Jonathan also praised the government for supporting the project through infrastructure development and improved road access.
Ogbuku said the refinery will have a multiplier effect on the state’s economy through job creation, increased commercial activities and greater investment.
