The San Francisco Giants made several roster moves on Tuesday ahead of their second game against the Houston Astros. Outfielder Victor Bericoto was reinstated from the 10-day injured list after recovering from an oblique injury. San Francisco also signed veteran catcher Andrew Knizner to a major-league contract while it designated infielder/outfielder Eddy Leonard for assignment. Knizner gives the Giants another catching option following Daniel Susac’s placement on the injured list due to a fractured kneecap.
