In response to the catastrophic earthquake that recently struck Colombia, Starlink announced it will provide complimentary satellite internet service in the affected regions until September 12. This Tuesday, SpaceX, the parent company of Starlink, declared that both current and new users in the impacted zones will benefit from this service. "For those impacted by the devastating earthquake in Colombia, Starlink is offering free service until September 12 for both new and existing customers," the company stated. New purchasers of Starlink equipment in the affected locales should contact customer support after their purchase to request the free service until September 12. Starlink implemented a similar measure in June, offering free satellite internet in Venezuela following earthquakes that disrupted telecommunications infrastructure there.
