Houston Texans rookie Keylan Rutledge is quickly making a name for himself at training camp, and it has little to do with backing down from anybody. Rutledge got into a scrap with star defensive end Will Anderson Jr. during Tuesday's practice, adding another physical moment to what has already been an intense training camp for the rookie offensive lineman. The Texans drafted Rutledge in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, with the offensive lineman expected to compete for an important role along a revamped offensive line. That mentality could be particularly valuable for a Texans offensive line that is trying to establish a new identity. Still, the Texans would much rather have to rein in a young offensive lineman for being too aggressive than have to challenge him to play with more physicality.
