They made the commitment at a meeting with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the Secretariat in Dhaka yesterday, AmCham said in a statement. The chamber urged government support to foster investment, while AmCham leaders praised recent reforms that strengthen the business climate, especially the FY2026-27 shift toward practical facilitation. AmCham proposed a Digital Economy Forum or Task Force and a Public-Private Competitiveness Council to tackle bottlenecks and boost investor confidence. AmCham urged effective reform execution and sustained competitiveness, highlighting predictable tax and customs, reliable infrastructure, energy, and stronger public-private collaboration. AmCham Executive Committee President Syed Mohammad Kamal led the delegation.
