One of the most conservative members of the Supreme Court has raked in millions from an industry he's ruled in favor of in previous cases, according to a new analysis. The Guardian reported on Tuesday that Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito has made up to $2.9 million from "fossil fuel interests" while he's been on the court. Alito has been the subject of speculation about the efficacy of the Supreme Court's ethics laws. The Guardian found that he is the only Supreme Court Justice who has not submitted a financial disclosure form for 2025. His last disclosure revealed multiple investments in fossil fuel companies such as "ConocoPhillips and its predecessor Phillips 66, Chevron and the energy infrastructure company Kinder Morgan," according to the report.
