Tirupati: The Tirupati district police on Tuesday cracked the murder case of Magalampati Sivakumar in Srikalahasti with the arrest of four men linked to a notorious Chennai-based criminal gang. Following the incident, the Srikalahasti 1 Town police registered a case and launched an investigation. A special investigation team formed under Additional SP Ravi Manoharachari and Srikalahasti DSP K Narasimha Murthy, directly supervised by District SP L Subba Rayudu, analyzed technical data and field intelligence to trace the culprits. Briefing media persons, District SP L Subba Rayudu stated that the murder was a planned act of revenge. Ganeshan had previously stayed with Sivakumar, and the gang members suspected Sivakumar of tipping off the Chennai police, prompting the fatal assault.
