Anantapur: Union Minister of State for Railways V Somanna has assured public representatives that the construction of the Kanekallu road railway bridge in Rayadurgam town, stalled for seven years, will be fast-tracked. Meeting the Minister in Delhi, Government Whip Kalava Srinivasulu, Anantapur MP Ambica Lakshminarayana, and Hindupuram MP BK Parthasarathi highlighted rising traffic pressures due to upcoming line doubling projects. Responding promptly, Minister Somanna held an instant review with Railway Board officials, instructing them to categorize the bridge as a priority project and accelerate work immediately. Resolving the Kalluru railway under-bridge waterlogging issue was also urged.
