Buddy Gene Mason, 92, of Christiansburg passed away on August 10, 2026. He was born in Franklin County to Eugene Giles Mason and Lena Holcomb Mason. Buddy was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Mason, and his siblings, Goldie Edwards, Elizabeth Edwards, and Buren Mason. He is survived by his five children, James Mason, Eugene Mason (Lisa), Lena Perry (Tommy), Frances Mullins (Jess Tatoy), and Joseph Mason. He had a lifelong love of racing, as a driver and a fan of Bill and Chase Elliot.
