Karachi [Pakistan], August 12 (ANI): A Karachi court has ordered Civil Hospital Karachi to pay PKR 6.5 million in compensation to a woman who suffered complications following an allegedly incorrect surgery at the hospital, ARY News reported. The Senior Civil Judge (South) passed the order in a compensation case filed by Najma Rizwan against Civil Hospital Karachi and directed the hospital to pay the compensation of PKR 6.5 million within 60 days, according to the report. She later sought treatment at another hospital, where doctors allegedly found that the surgery performed at Civil Hospital Karachi was incorrect. After hearing the case, the court ruled in Rizwan's favour and ordered Civil Hospital Karachi to pay PKR 6.5 million in compensation, ARY News reported. The court also directed the hospital to pay PKR 200,000 in litigation costs and waived a disputed additional bill of nearly PKR 1.8 million.
