Aug. 11—MITCHELL — For Peyton Schroder, the Class B state amateur baseball tournament has always been something to watch.

Registered umpires must be in at least their third year of umpiring and must attend a preseason clinic before they can be selected to umpire an American Legion state tournament or the amateur state tournament.
Although working his first state amateur tournament has come to a close, Schroder views the experience as another step in his development.
