Tirupati: Problems with online tickets, long waits for darshan and alleged preferential treatment for visitors with recommendations have emerged as key irritants for devotees at Srikalahasteeswara and Kanipakam temples, affecting their satisfaction rankings. The feedback is compiled into monthly satisfaction rankings. Srikalahasteeswara temple, which had retained the top position for six consecutive months, witnessed a sharp decline in the rankings in recent months. Since mobile phones are not permitted inside the temple, devotees have to use kiosks or the Mana Mitra app to secure their darshan tickets. Its rating fell from 69.9 per cent in the previous month to 67.8 per cent this month, placing it fifth in the rankings.
