The MPs submitted a representation to Union education minister Pralhad Joshi in New Delhi, highlighting the need to provide equitable access to quality residential education, particularly for talented students from rural areas. They urged the Centre to accord priority to the uncovered districts and initiate the establishment process without further delay. The MPs said the state government had been consistently pursuing the issue with the Centre. They urged the Union minister to direct the ministry of education and the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti to expedite the proposals submitted by the State government. They also sought a joint meeting involving the ministry, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Andhra Pradesh government and MPs from the state to finalise a clear roadmap for establishing JNVs in the remaining districts.
