Visakhapatnam: BJP state president PVN Madhav strongly condemned the lathi charge and police action against students protesting peacefully in Ranchi, Jharkhand, and said that the Congress-JMM government should address their concerns instead of trying to suppress their voice. The BJP state president demanded that the Jharkhand government should conduct a comprehensive and impartial investigation into the allegations and place the facts before the public. He said students protesting for their legitimate rights should be heard and their problems resolved through dialogue rather than force. Questioning Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s response to the incident, Madhav asked why he, who frequently speaks about student issues across the country, had not responded to the concerns of Jharkhand students. He questioned whether the political interests of the Congress Party were being given greater importance than the welfare of students.
