We all know the Type 01 is intended to establish the visual and philosophical direction of the brand’s next generation, as made explicit by the name itself.
It will also be the first production Jaguar built on the company’s dedicated Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA), a platform developed specifically around the requirements of the brand’s new EVs.
Rawdon Glover, Jaguar’s Managing Director, says the Type 01 represents the first production car to fully adopt the company’s new creative philosophy.
“With Type 01, we wanted every journey to be an occasion, from how it drives to how it looks and how it makes you feel.”
Before its global reveal, the Type 01 prototype will make its North American debut during Monterey Car Week wearing a distinctive new wrap.
