New research from Teads, the omnichannel outcomes platform, has revealed a growing “Travel Confidence Gap” across the APAC region.
International travel across Asia-Pacific has rebounded, but the way consumers make travel decisions has fundamentally changed.
Rather than choosing from an endless list of destinations, travellers are narrowing their options before making a final decision.
Among consumers planning to travel in the next 12 months 80 per of APAC consumers trust recommendations from family, friends and travel agents, with 72 per cent trusting travel websites and blogs.
Only 50 per cent of Australian consumers trust social media for travel recommendations, reinforcing the importance of trusted information sources throughout the planning journey.
