Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision on Middle Road in Southampton involving a livery cycle and a car that left a female visitor injured and requiring hospital treatment. A police spokesperson said, “Police are currently on scene at a two vehicle collision on Middle Road near the junction with Industrial Park Road in Southampton, involving a car and a livery cycle. “Initial information suggests the livery cycle, operated by a female visitor, was travelling west along Middle Road when the rider attempted to avoid a truck at the Industrial Park Road junction. The cycle subsequently crossed into the path of an oncoming car, resulting in a collision. “The female motorcyclist was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital [KEMH] for treatment of her injuries.
