The City of Trenton and North Missouri Solid Waste Management District Region B will sponsor a residential solid waste collection event Sept. 12 at the Trenton Street Department, 1900 East 16th Street. Residents may dispose of certain special waste items that are prohibited from landfills. Other accepted items will include household batteries, rechargeable batteries, cell phones, intact car batteries, and ink cartridges. The event also will not accept toxic, medical, or mixed waste, joint compounds, or empty paint cans.
