Florida School District Opens New Transportation Facility Ahead of First Day of School

A new transportation facility on Osceola County’s west side is expected to shorten school bus travel and support drivers as students return to class, reported Click Orlando News.
According to the news report, the School District of Osceola County opened the Transportation and Operations Facility in an area experiencing rapid population growth.
Watson said the on-site maintenance center will eliminate the need to send buses to the district’s central transportation facility in another part of the county.
Superintendent Mark Shanoff, who toured the facility before the start of the school year, said the district designed it with transportation employees in mind.
