PITTSBURGH — A Shaler Township fire police officer died after suffering a medical emergency while working at a community event on Aug. 9. The Shaler Villa Volunteer Fire Company said George Mullins Jr., a fire police officer with the Shaler Township Fire Police, suffered a medical emergency while working at a Community Car Cruise at Shaler Area Elementary School.
