For the first time in 10 years, Gainesville High School will have a new head softball coach.
On July 27, Chris Chronister announced he was retiring from high school coaching.
“Chris had a tremendous run as a softball coach at Gainesville High School,” said GHS Athletics Director Phillip Knight.
Prior to being the head coach, Chronister was an assistant for three years (2014-2016) under head coach Pete Mariano.
“Chris and his teams were great ambassadors of Gainesville High School and his impact on our sports program will be greatly missed.”
