The Penn Hills School District and Penn Hills Education Support Professionals Association reached a tentative agreement over the weekend on contract negotiations and will effectively avoid a strike.

He said district officials’ focus remains on preparing for the start of the 2026-27 school year.
The tentative agreement matches the fact-finder report, offering a 4.2% increase for the first three years and a 4.5% bump for the fourth.
