PERRYVILLE — Clarence E. Schirmer, 94, of Altenburg died Monday, Aug. 10, 2026, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. He was born Nov. 24, 1931, in Cape Girardeau to Rudolph T. and Alma H. Kutscher Schirmer. He and Vivian C. Schirmer were married May 4, 1957, at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar. Survivors include wife of 69 years, Vivian; three daughters, Carolyn Schirmer of Springfield, Lori Johnson of Jackson and Lois Bader of Jackson; son, Neal (Michelle) Schirmer of Altenburg; daughter-in-law, Tina Schirmer of Cape Girardeau five grandchildren, MaKenzie (Ryan) LaRose of Cape Girardeau, Colin (Rachel) Schirmer of O'Fallon, Loralee (Alex) King of Knob Lick, John (Tori) Bader of Farmington and Carley Schirmer of Altenburg; and five great-grandchildren, MaKenna LaRose, Maddox LaRose, Sonnie Bader, Griffin Schirmer and Leon King. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kenny Schirmer; and son-in-law, Raymond Johnson.
