Photo: Army Corps of Engineers-Savannah DistrictThe restoration advisory board for the Buxton Naval Facility Formerly Used Defense Sites is to meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Cape Hatteras Anglers Club in Buxton. During the quarterly meeting this week, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is expected to give an update on the current environmental restoration projects, and discuss community interest in continuing the restoration advisory board, or RAB, or adjourning it. The advisory board is a stakeholder advisory group that meets regularly to discuss environmental restoration at Department of Defense sites, such as the Buxton Naval Facility FUDS property.
