Dickinson Public Schools board reviews construction update and ACT scores

DICKINSON — The Dickinson Public Schools (DPS) school board convened Monday, Aug. 10, at the DPS Professional Learning Lab for a regular meeting.
The school board reviewed updates regarding the Dickinson High School (DHS) construction and how ACT scores have been affected now students aren’t required to take the test.
Gavin Argent, a project engineer for JE Dunn Construction, provided the school board with an update on the ongoing construction at DHS.
Argent reported that the overall DHS construction project is about 67 percent complete.
DHS Principal Jeff Brandt and DPS Assistant Superintendent Melanie Kathrein approached the school board next to discuss ACT and Advanced Placement (AP) test scores.
