The firefighters union in Stoughton, Massachusetts, has voted no confidence in the town manager, who is on leave amid a dispute with the police chief. Calter and Police Chief Donna McNamara were both placed on leave last month as the Stoughton Select Board brought in an outside investigator to look into what happened. Part of McNamara's claim involves the Sandra Birchmore case, which McNamara has played a large role in investigating. McNamara mentioned the Birchmore case in her lawsuit, saying Calter had told her to destroy a second internal investigation about the case.
